g I knew more about it than anyone else seemed ridiculous”, she sighs.  […]

In her view, the corporation is becoming cowardly. “The BBC has become … is the word ‘frightened’ too strong? I don’t think it is. There is a government that doesn’t seem to like the BBC very much, and the trans activists were a very dangerous bunch, so I stepped into the two hot topics of the time.”

Another interpretation would be that the world is changing and Murray wasn’t going to change with it. The fact that many young women are sympathetic to the trans-women-are-women cause is “bizarre”, in her view. “Who would want to choose to be an often unattractive middle-aged woman when they don’t have to be? We are treated appallingly a lot of the time. It all seems a bit odd to me.”

Well, yes, it is a bit odd. They've been persuaded though, these young women, that after gay rights, women's rights, civil rights, this is the next forward progressive step in our liberation….trans rights. But it isn't.

Well she’s right that the current government are no friend of the BBC but I very much doubt that they applied pressure to get Murray off the air on the subject of trans.

I don’t think she’s implying that they did.
